Third, in agreement with previous reports that nuclear YAP1 is critical for cell growth in various cancers, including lung, breast, and prostate cancers, we observed that YAP1 is predominately localized in the nucleus of CHS cells, and that nuclear localization of YAP1 (5SA) induces an oncogenic phenotype in primary chondrocytes and reverses YAP1 depletion-induced senescence in CHS cells. This evidence concerns the gene YAP1 and cancer.
