CD8A and infection: The CD8+ T cells that appeared in the spinal cord after infection had a more diverse chemokine receptor expression pattern compared with both CD8+ T cells in the spinal cord of uninfected mice (Fig. 3, green bars) and to CD8+ T cells in the spleen of HSV-2 infected animals (Fig. 3, grey bars), and there were also higher frequencies of chemokine-receptor-positive CD8+ T cells (Fig. 3).
