An analysis of the effects of individual AKT isoforms knockdown in ovarian cancer cell lines indicate that the growth suppression (Figure 2C, 2D) shown in the AKT2 KD cell lines could be attributed to the partial inhibition of AKT1 isoform by the AKT2 targeting siRNA (Figure 2A, 2B). The gene discussed is AKT2; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
