In the Human Pathology Atlas [3], high expression of PKM is significantly (log-rank p-value < 0.05) associated with the unfavorable prognoses in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), whereas it is also associated with favorable prognoses in kidney renal clear-cell carcinoma (KIRC), skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), and thyroid carcinoma (THCA). The gene discussed is PKM; the disease is pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
