Further exploring the SAE1 mRNA levels in paired tumor-non-tumor samples from patients with one of 18 different cancer types using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) datasets, we observed that SAE1 was significantly more expressed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC, n = 371), compared to their normal tissue counterparts (n = 50) (Figure 1B).
