Although Wnt/β-catenin mutations are not common in HNSCC, other signal pathways, such as FAT1 and AJUBA, can crosstalk with Wnt/β-catenin, resulting in changes in the activity of Wnt signaling pathway (Cancer Genome Atlas Network, 2015; Beck and Golemis, 2016).
