We generated 2C8, a novel monoclonal antihuman CD47 antibody that has displayed high specificity and affinity for CD47 protein and stimulates M0, M1, and M2 macrophage-mediated phagocytosis more effectively in comparison to commercially available anti-CD47 mAb B6H12.2 in vitro, suppressing tumor growth in vivo and, thus, prolonging mouse survival. This evidence concerns the gene CD47 and neoplasm.
