In addition, many other lncRNAs, such as highly up-regulated in liver cancer (HULC), H19, growth arrest-specific 5 (GAS5), HOTAIR, phosphatase and tensin homolog pseudogene 1 (PTENP1), and MALAT1, act as decoys by preventing transcription factors or miRNA from binding with their target sites, thereby regulating translation and transcription (Figure 3). The gene discussed is PTENP1; the disease is liver cancer.
