FTO is highly expressed in many types of cancer such as acute myeloid leukemia with t(11q23)/MLL rearrangements, t(15;17)/PML-RARA fusion, FLT3-ITD or NPM1 mutation [18], human cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissue [30] and gastric cancer [31] etc. Nevertheless, it is decreased in BLCA tumors compared to normal tissues.
