Consistent with mitochondrial Ca2+ overload resulting from CaMKII‐dependent RyR2 phosphorylation and enhanced Ca2+ leak from the SR, the decrease in CRC observed in CASP mitochondria was absent in CASP mitochondria isolated from S2814A mice (Figure 5B) and from mice treated with dantrolene (Figure S1). The gene discussed is CAMK2G; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
