To test this hypothesis, we implemented the isoproterenol (ISO)-induced cardiac injury model for catecholamine-induced stress cardiomyopathy 32 in wild type BALB/cByJ mice, Rag2‒/‒ mice (which lack T and B lymphocytes with preserved ILCs) and Rag2‒/‒IL2Rγc‒/‒ mice (which lack T and B lymphocytes and all ILC subgroups) and compared the tissue fibrosis levels to delineate the contribution of ILC2s in the tissue responses following cardiac injury.
