PINK1 and Wilson disease: It was observed that the genes and proteins levels of pink1, parkin, and LC3II (or the rate of LC3II/LC3I) were significantly decreased, while the p62 level was remarkably increased in the GDL group, which further indicated that the neuroprotective mechanism of GDL may occur via the inhibition of excessive mitophagy by the regulation of pink1/parkin pathway in TX mouse brain of WD.
