Disease‐specific survival was similar for MLH1 methylated (n = 154) and MMR‐D nonmethylated (n = 70) cancers (HR 1.5, 95% CI 0.78–3.0; p = 0.219), which also held true when the analysis was restricted to stage I MMR‐D cancers (Table S3). This evidence concerns the gene MLH1 and cancer.
