In patients with type 2 diabetes and nephropathy, YAP and TEAD were highly expressed in kidney tissues, and were correlated with systolic blood pressure, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, stages of the diabetic nephropathy, serum albumin and glomerular filtration rate, suggesting that YAP played a significant role in the renal damage in type 2 diabetes [13,15]. Here, ALB is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
