We also observed significant correlations with other biomarkers that have been implicated in the pathogenesis of COVID-19, such as CXCL9 (r = 0.31, 95% CI 0.11–0.49, P = 0.002, n = 93, Figure 6D), CCL2 (r = 0.25, 95% CI 0.05–0.44, P = 0.01, n = 93, Figure 6E), CXCL10 (r = 0.25, 95% CI 0.05–0.44, P = 0.01, P = 94, Figure 6F), IL-1RA (r = 0.43, 95% CI 0.25–0.59, P < 0.0001, n = 94, Figure 6G), and IL-2R (r = 0.27, 95% CI 0.07– 0.46, P = 0.007, P = 93, Figure 6H). This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and COVID-19.
