As shown in Table 2A-C, increased age and hypoalbuminemia (serum albumin < 3.7 g/dL versus ≧ 3.7 g/dL) were two significant risk factors for the development of first episode of peritonitis in the multivariable model, but low serum PTH alone was not a risk factor (Table 2A).
