Since the Cabs1 protein was also located in the acrosome, and it has been reported to be involved in the acrosome reaction and phosphorylation regulation [8,10], hence, for those sterile male mice, sperm functions such as capacitation and the acrosome reaction might be dysregulated, which reached a maximal threshold value, resulting in male infertility. The gene discussed is CABS1; the disease is male infertility.
