In the A375 melanoma, both 1 and 2 zeaxanthin-rich extracts triggered up-regulation of phosphorilated JNK 1/2, ERK1 + ERK2 and p38, while in BJ cells, in most of the cases, the negative values point toward the three intracellular MAP kinases suppression, with one exception: following the exposure to 2, JNK increased to some extent in compare with the untreated reference. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK1 and melanoma.
