BMSC-derived soluble factors, such as IL-6, IGF-1, and stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1), induce the development, proliferation, and survival of MM cells via the adhesion of the microenvironment by signal transduction such as nuclear factor-kappa B (NK-kB), Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transduces and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), RAS/RAF, and PI3K/AKT pathway [2,32]. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
