Meaney et al. reported that among patients with stage I lung adenocarcinoma, those with high IL-6 and IL-17A levels had a lower 5-year survival rate (46%) than those with low levels of both markers (93%), with a similar trend having been observed for the prognostic signatures of IL-6 and IL-17A in an independent data set [35].
