Although the sample of MMRp CRCs is small, we observed a relatively higher frequency of amplification in MYC (18%), EGFR (9%) and CCND1 (9%), than previously reported in largest CRC series, which reported 4.8% to 5.1% of MYC amplification, 0.7% to 1.4% of EGFR amplification and 0.2% to 0.7% for CCND1 amplification [19,27]. This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and colorectal carcinoma.
