Several lncRNAs, such as plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1), colon cancer-associated transcripts 1 and 2 (CCAT1 and CCAT2, respectively), prostate cancer associated transcript 1 (PCAT1) and MYC-induced long non-coding RNA (MINCR), regulate the expression of the proto-oncogene MYC, which is located in the 8q24 locus, the most frequently amplified region in human cancers [115,116,117,118,119,120,121,122]. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is cancer.
