SIRT7 and endometrial cancer: Recently Mao et al. [55] examined SIRT7 expression in tissue samples derived from 5 female endometrial cancer patients as well as in endometrial cancer cell lines and cultures (KLE, RL95-2, AN3CA, and Ishikawa), and made an interesting observation that SIRT7 knockdown markedly inhibits the growth of endometrial cancer cells by inducing apoptosis via the NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa B) signaling pathway.
