This up-regulation of PHF6 gene in AML is in agreementwith the study of Landais et al.(2005), who found a PHF6 over-expression in theKis2-rearranged tumors, providing the first evidence to linkdisruption of PHF6 and the progression of hematologic malignancy.Similarly, an up-regulation of PHF6 gene in cases of lymph nodemetastasis of breast cancer was correlated with tumor proliferation (Yu et al., 2012). The gene discussed is PHF6; the disease is breast cancer.
