CRP and COVID-19: In univariable analysis, hazard of death was higher in patients with high basal CRP values (>11 mg/dL) (HR: 2.32; 95% CI: 1.04–5.18; p = 0.04), high basal LDH values (>450 U/L) (HR: 9.26; 95% CI: 2.13–40.20; p = 0.003), patients who started treatment more than 5 days after the onset of symptoms (HR: 21.22; 95% CI: 6.14–73.4; p < 0.001) and lower in patient with mild/moderate type of COVID-19 compared with patient with severe/critical type (HR: 0.10; 95% CI: 0.02–0.79; Figure 1).
