In contrast, this analysis revealed significantly higher expression of Ins2 in the HE subgroup as compared to the LE subgroup at postnatal days 14 (p < 0.001), 21 (p < 1 × 10–5) and 28 (p < 0.05) (Fig. 4D), and with significantly higher expression of Ins1 at day 14 (p < 0.01), but not in day 7 (Table S7). This evidence concerns the gene FOXM1 and hereditary elliptocytosis.
