PPARA and breast carcinoma: Our in vitro studies using three breast cancer cell lines with different molecular subtypes were aimed at determining the effect of 4-OXO-DHA on additional molecular markers besides PPARɣ and NF-κB; the results are consistent with our previous in vivo studies demonstrating that a diet rich in n-3FA altered similar molecular targets in a manner consistent with breast cancer prevention in the rat7,8.
