PGC and gastric cancer: Regarding PGII (Figure 2B), the lowest median level was found in controls (5.9 ng/mL, IQR 5.2–11.0), and progressively higher median levels were recorded in patients at risk for GC (i.e., FDR-GC, 9.3 ng/mL [IQR, 11.0–28.7]; ACAG, 10.0 ng/mL [IQR, 7.0–15.1]; high-grade dysplasia, 9.4 ng/mL [IQR, 8.0–10.7]); the highest levels were found in GC patients (17.8 ng/mL [IQR, 11.0–28.7]) (Kruskal-Wallis test for trend, p < 0.001).
