The expression of the Fibulin-2 interacting proteins known to be expressed in meningiomas (MUC4, α5β1 integrins, laminin-α2 chain, type IV collagen and fibronectin) [22,24,25,26,27,43] can also be manipulated to assess the effects on the tumour biology (motility, invasion and proliferation) of grade II meningiomas, in order to better understand their heterogeneous histo-phenotypical characteristics, and discover more sophisticated biomarkers for clinical diagnosis/prognostication and potential molecular targets for treatment. Here, FBLN2 is linked to neoplasm.
