2 subtypes in monocytes were further analyzed: CD14+S100A12+ population 1 [22] (cluster 2, 6 in Paratumor, and cluster 10 in Tumor) was transcriptionally similar to “classical” monocytes, and FCGR3A+ population 2 (cluster 8 in Paratumor) was similar to “nonclassical” monocytes (Figure 3C–3E) [23]. This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and neoplasm.
