Specifically, the Reactive GSC state-associated transcription factor SP1 and its regulatory partners are involved in cellular differentiation and growth, apoptosis, response to DNA damage, chromatin remodeling (O'Connor et al., 2016), stimulation of TERT expression in cancer stem cells (Liu et al., 2016), and increased stemness and invasion in GBM (Lee et al., 2014).
