In WNT6-silenced human GBM cells, the activation of Src family kinases (SFK), heat shock protein (HSP) family (HSP27), and the total levels of β-catenin are inhibited or decreased, indicating that WNT6 acts through the β-catenin-dependent WNT pathway, the SFK/STAT pathway, and the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. This evidence concerns the gene WNT6 and glioblastoma.
