In AML patients treated with a HAD regimen of homoharringtoninetcytosine (HHT), cytarabine (Ara-C), and daunorubicin (DNR), the N-cadherin and Tie2 expressing CD34+/CD38−/CD123+ LSC population presented higher expansion than AML patients who did not receive chemotherapy, indicating that the expression of N-cadherin and Tie2 on AML cells provides a survival benefit against the therapy (99).
