Understanding the balance between Nrf2-interacting foods and nutrients would help to: (i) better understand the mechanisms of the oxidative stress in insulin resistance-associated diseases, (ii) develop optimal Nrf2-interacting nutrients and diets to reduce the prevalence and severity of IR diseases, (iii) optimize Nrf2 drug development, and (iv) develop these strategies to mitigate COVID-19 severity.
