ZNF154 and familial pancreatic carcinoma: We show that ZNF154 methylation is elevated in early-stage tissue samples from 10 different cancer types; is not meaningfully associated with age, sex, or non-cancer conditions; results in AUCs of up to 0.87 when used to identify plasma samples from cases versus healthy donors for multiple cancer types in the context of a liquid biopsy; and outperforms KRAS mutations as a plasma biomarker for pancreatic cancer.
