For example, in pancreatic adenocarcinoma samples we found 86.7% hypermethylated versus 95.3% mutated in the common set of PAAD cancer genes, (where 90.7% of tumors harbored a KRAS mutation and the remaining 4.6% had a mutation in another PAAD cancer gene: TP53, SMAD4, or CDKN2A). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
