The late-stage pancreatic cancer cases had higher median KRAS mutant allele frequencies (MtAF) when normalized for mLs of plasma input (median MtAF = 7.07e−4; Supplementary Table S2 with respect to the controls (control median MtAF = 0.0; control maximum MtAF = 1.44e−3) and this difference was statistically significant (p = 0.036, Wilcoxon one-sided rank sum test). The gene discussed is KRAS; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
