As expected, single knockdown of either GPC3 or FAT1 suppressed the regulation of metastasis genes Snail, Vimentin, and E-Cadherin, and double knockdown of GPC3 and FAT1 had a little enhanced effect on the regulation of some of the EMT genes (Fig. 6), suggesting again that GPC3 and FAT1 may work via a shared mechanism to promote HCC cell migration. The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
