The following variables were associated with higher levels of GDF-15 (>4612.09 pg/mL, medium and high risk tertiles) by univariate logistic regression analysis: Age (OR 1.04 CI95% (1.02–1.06), p < 0.001), coronary artery disease (OR 2.66 CI95% (1.14–6.16), p = 0.02), peripheral artery disease (OR 2.51 CI95% (1.01–6.2), p = 0.048), and time of renal replacement therapy (RRT) (OR 1.04 CI95% (1.01–1.1), p = 0.02). Here, GDF15 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
