Of these, 12 genes showed a positive direction of Wald ratio effect, indicating a relationship between increased gene expression and increased schizophrenia risk (SF3B1, IN080E, CNTN4, NMB, FES, GOLGA2P7, CLCN3, RERE, ZNF823, ZC3H7B, KCNQ5, and NAT8). This evidence concerns the gene KCNQ5 and schizophrenia.
