As another mechanism to support CTCs survival, platelets secrete lysophophatidic acid (LPA) that binds to its receptors, LPAR1, 2 and (3) on breast cancer cells and activates the secretion of IL6, IL8, CCL2 and CXCL1, enhance survival and increases the migration potential of CTCs (131). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and breast carcinoma.
