A significant association was found in the co-distribution of high ALT levels and abnormal coagulation parameters (85% of patients with high ALT levels had coagulation abnormalities vs 22.7% of patients with coagulation abnormalities with normal ALT, p = 0.002) and hypothyroidism, as defined by elevated TSH measurements (all patients with hypothyroidism had high ALT values vs 41.3% of patients without hypothyroidism having high ALT values, p = 0.004). Here, GPT is linked to hypothyroidism.
