In this enrichment analysis of genetic test results and detailed clinical histories from a large multi-ethnic cohort of patients tested at a single laboratory, we found that across Caucasian, Hispanic, and African American women, those carrying a P/LP variant in a clinically actionable gene were 44%-87.0% more likely to have SBC after adjusting for multiple potential confounders such as family history, prior BRCA1/2 testing, and age at PBC diagnosis. The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is primary biliary cholangitis.
