We observed higher expression of CDK4 in females in our study (male-female log2-fold change = −0.63; adjusted p = 0.02) and Li et al. reported higher CDK4 expression in high-grade synovial sarcomas [27] suggesting that CDK4 may be a sexually dimorphic marker of OS disease severity to be validated in future studies. Here, CDK4 is linked to synovial sarcoma.
