In view of, (1) the KISS-1/GPR54 system being a puberty-initiated control switch; (2) the KISS-1/GPR54 system existing in the gonads, but with an unclear function; (3) Exercise being able to regulate obesity-induced sex hormone disorders, but with an unclear mechanism, we hypothesized that the KISS-1/GPR54 system in gonadal tissue is involved in the regulation of gonadal development during the growing period, and that the KISS-1/GPR54 system is involved in the regulation of sex hormone disorders induced by high-fat diet, and that exercise can regulate these disorders. Here, KISS1R is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
