Some studies have found that patients with PTSD showed elevated blood levels of proinflammatory mediators, including interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and C-reactive protein (CRP), accompanied with immune dysregulation and inflammation [5–8]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and post-traumatic stress disorder.
