By conducting an immunofluorescence assay to detect the expression of apoptosis protein Caspase-9 and Caspase-3, red (Caspase-9) and green (Caspase-3) fluorescence of the tumor tissue slices in the CCM@MSNs-ISOIM group depicted a strong level of fluorescence, while that of Caspase-9 and Caspase-3 in the other groups were significantly weaker, indicating that these two genes were highly expressed in tumor tissues treated with CCM@MSNs-ISOIM (Fig. 8c). This evidence concerns the gene CASP9 and neoplasm.
