Furthermore, our results exhibited that miR-29b could suppress the activation of the ERK signaling pathway via ETV4 and EGFR down-regulation in CRC, consistent with earlier findings showing that the ERK signaling pathway can repress tumor angiogenesis and tumor growth [52] and attributing inactivation of the ERK signaling pathway to ETV4 gene silencing [35].
