In order to explore the expression of four PDK isoenzymes in ovarian cancer cell lines, CAOV3 and SKOV3 compared with normal ovarian epithelial cell lines, HOSEpiC, we used real time PCR to detect the RNA expression of PDK1, PDK2, PDK3 and PDK4. The results showed that compared with PDK2, PDK3 and PDK4, PDK1 was aberrantly overexpressed in ovarian cancer cell lines, CAOV3 and SKOV3, while the expression of PDK1 was higher than PDK2, but lower than PDK3 and PDK4 in normal ovarian epithelial cell line, HOSEpiC (Figure 1A). Here, PDK4 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
