Regarding particular SNPs associated to both endometriosis and different associated traits, we have found that most of the prominent associations map to a region in chromosome 11, 25–40 Kb upstream of FSHB. In this context, in 2016 Ruth et al. showed that a genetic variant in the same region is associated with low FSH levels and longer menstrual cycles [38]. The gene discussed is BRD2; the disease is endometriosis.
