Therefore, the aim of this study was to: (i) quantify and compare the serum VEGF-A, VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 levels between cats with distinct mammary carcinoma subtypes and healthy controls; (ii) test for associations between serum levels and clinicopathological features; (iii) evaluate the VEGF-A, VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 expression in TILs and cancer cells of feline spontaneous mammary carcinomas and (iv) screen for correlations between serum levels and expression levels of VEGF-A, VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 in TILs and cancer cells.
