The fifth SNP, which is located on chromosome 6 in the pseudogene CCDC162P, is associated with methylation at CpGs in SREBF2 and LDLR. Three meQTL SNPs have been associated with several age-related disorders (e.g. heart failure, stroke, and cancer) and endophenotypes of these disorders (including cholesterol levels, blood pressure and blood glucose) in a pleiotropic GWAS meta-analysis [47]. The gene discussed is SREBF2; the disease is heart failure.
